Training and Experience
Dr. Agosta is well-qualified to diagnose and treat all female pelvic support, and bowel and bladder incontinence problems. His extensive training as an urogynecologist, fellowship training in pelvic reconstruction and incontinence together with his broad patient experience, enables him to effectively manage their conditions with skill and confidence. Most importantly, he is trained and experienced in using minimally invasive surgical techniques involving robotics such as the da Vinci® Surgical System for reduced patient discomfort, faster recovery and highly successful outcomes.
Specializing in Minimally Invasive Treatment
Dr. Agosta uses a number of highly technical, state-of-the-art procedures in his surgical approaches. Some of these include:
- Robotic Sacrocolpopexy a faster recovery
- Interstim Therapy. An FDA-approved treatment for urinary control problems in patients who have not had success with, or could not tolerate more conservative treatments
- Minimally invasive use of slings to support organs to reduce or eliminate incontinence
